Fuel Accumulator
Bosch model 0 438 170 031 fuel accumulator, used on 1980-83 model 911 SC and 1978-94 Turbo.

Fuel accumulators are designed to hold residual pressure in the fuel injection system so that the engine will start correctly on a hot re-start.

The way to test a fuel accumulator is by using a fuel pressure gauge and watching the fuel pressure after the engine is turned off. If the fuel pressure drops away immediately then it is most likely the accumulator.

Actual color may vary from photo. As of 2021, Bosch is making these in a silver-ish finish, not the "army green" color that they once were. We are not able to guarantee that a part's color will match our photos.

All returns require pre-approval. All returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee, with the exception of approved warranty returns, or if we ship a different part number than ordered. We do not accept returns after 30 days.

Inspect your order immediately when it arrives. We must be notified within 5 days if there are any missing, damaged, or incorrect parts.

Returns (except warranty) won't be accepted if the part:
 - Has been installed, used, damaged, is dirty or incomplete
 - Is not sellable as new
 - Arrived in sealed packaging that has been opened
 - Is an electrical part, a custom or cut-to-length item, or a Special Order
 - Was purchased more than 30 days earlier

Parts must be returned properly padded in a sturdy cardboard box. Returns sent in envelopes will be refused. Items damaged in transit to us cannot be refunded. All returns must be shipped prepaid.
