Product Description:
Rod Bearing Set, Standard
For connecting rods used in Porsche 356 and 912 engines. If you are re-building an "A" or "B" engine, you will have to modify the rod by grinding a groove for the bearing tang, as it is now on the opposite side compared to the original bearings (no longer available).
Manufacturer Information:
GLYCO bearings for engines
GLYCO was founded as GLYCO Metall Gesellschaft in 1897 in Schierstein, Germany. It initially made bearing metals for industrial and railway applications, and later became a leading manufacturer of engine bearings. The name GLYCO was given to a patented bearing-metal alloy, which the company also adopted as its trade name. GLYCO bearings were supplied as original equipment for many German auto makers, and have long been favored by Porsche engine builders for their dimensional accuracy, material quality, and durability.
