The filters in your car are there to protect your investment by removing or stopping harmful particulates from entering your engine, which can result in increased wear and/or damage. Air filters need to be inspected and changed at regular intervals and more frequently if you are operating the vehicle in dusty conditions. Engine oil filters are usually changed when changing the oil at 3000 mile intervals. Fuel filters are changed usually every 25,000 miles or at major service. However it is always a good idea to change the fuel filter if you are opening the fuel system or repairing a part of the fuel system.
