When you send your Bosch 0.231.159.001 ignition distributor to us, it will be completely disassembled, thoroughly cleaned and media blasted. New bushings, sliding surface, and shims are installed, along with a new spring package. The rebuild also includes a new cap, rotor, points, condenser, and shaft seal. Cap color as of early 2021 is red, not brown.

If you would also like new cap hold-down clips, please add two of our small-sized clips, part number 901.602.965.00, to your order. We also have replacement drive gears available if needed.

Vertical and lateral play are set to within acceptable limits, and we use a Sun machine to ensure the distributor is performing to factory specifications. Test results / curves are printed and included in the box, and your distributor is shipped back ready to install and set timing.

This is a thorough restoration, and we will need your distributor for approximately 4-5 weeks. Turnaround times vary based on shop workload and the condition of all components.

All returns require pre-approval. All returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee, with the exception of approved warranty returns, or if we ship a different part number than ordered. We do not accept returns after 30 days.

Inspect your order immediately when it arrives. We must be notified within 5 days if there are any missing, damaged, or incorrect parts.

Returns (except warranty) won't be accepted if the part:
 - Has been installed, used, damaged, is dirty or incomplete
 - Is not sellable as new
 - Arrived in sealed packaging that has been opened
 - Is an electrical part, a custom or cut-to-length item, or a Special Order
 - Was purchased more than 30 days earlier

Parts must be returned properly padded in a sturdy cardboard box. Returns sent in envelopes will be refused. Items damaged in transit to us cannot be refunded. All returns must be shipped prepaid.
