We have developed this coil to work with the Porsche factory CDI system and give you the strongest, cleanest spark. This coil is designed to replace the 901.602.502.00 Bosch factory coil. Our coil comes with decals and post hardware, as well as a free CDI System TSB download. Bracket is also included.
Capacitor Discharge Ignition systems use a transformer, aka the CDI coil. It has a turns ratio of 100 to 1 so the voltage going in is multiplied 100 times to give you the voltage needed for the Porsche CDI system. These are high-energy systems and therefore extremely dangerous. If you are not trained to work on these systems, bring your vehicle to a professional, fully insured Porsche mechanic who is.
