For the 1972-73 2.4L 911S, Bosch used 3 different distributors:  

0231.169.005  (9/71 to 6/72)
0231.169.010  (7/72 to 4/73)
0231.184.003  (5/73 to 8/73)
All are interchangeable with each other. 

When you send your distributor to us, it will be completely disassembled, media blasted and polished. All new bushings, sliding surface, and shims are installed, along with a new spring package.  Your distributor will also be fitted with new cap, rotor, points, condenser, and shaft seal. We ensure that the rebuilt unit operates within factory specifications and that vertical and lateral play are within acceptable limits.

New cap clips are also available; please see part number 901.602.965.00. We also carry replacement drive gears if needed.

The rebuilt unit is tested on a Sun distributor machine, and the actual curves are recorded and printed out for you. The distributor is delivered to you ready to install and set timing. The rebuild process averages about 4 weeks, but actual build times vary based on the condition of the distributor and shop workload.

NOTE:  Vacuum advance cans are not part of the rebuild service;  if there is a problem with your vacuum can, we will contact you. Not all cores are rebuildable.  Damaged cores may require machining and/or parts not included in this service; if that is the case we will contact you.

All returns require pre-approval. All returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee, with the exception of approved warranty returns, or if we ship a different part number than ordered. We do not accept returns after 30 days.

Inspect your order immediately when it arrives. We must be notified within 5 days if there are any missing, damaged, or incorrect parts.

Returns (except warranty) won't be accepted if the part:
 - Has been installed, used, damaged, is dirty or incomplete
 - Is not sellable as new
 - Arrived in sealed packaging that has been opened
 - Is an electrical part, a custom or cut-to-length item, or a Special Order
 - Was purchased more than 30 days earlier

Parts must be returned properly padded in a sturdy cardboard box. Returns sent in envelopes will be refused. Items damaged in transit to us cannot be refunded. All returns must be shipped prepaid.
