Rebuild Service for Your CIS Fuel Distributor, Bosch 018 Rebuild Service for YOUR Fuel Distributor
Send your Bosch 0438.101.018 in for restoration.
The Bosch “018” was used on Mercedes 420 and 560 vehicles, 1986-91.
Please check the Bosch number on your distributor before ordering.
This fuel distributor *not* used on any Porsche CIS vehicles.
Turnaround is 4-8 weeks depending on current backlog.

Your fuel distributor will be thoroughly reconditioned and repaired by skilled technicians, using processes and equipment similar to the ones originally used by Bosch. All rebuilt units are bench / flow tested prior to shipment. We don’t sell rebuild kits for fuel distributors because most individuals and shops lack the equipment and process knowledge to do this specialized job.

Rebuilt units are backed by a 1-year repair-only warranty. Your fuel system must be properly cleaned before the unit is installed for the warranty to be valid.

To purchase this service, please add this listing to your cart and check out. Send your rebuildable core to: Partsklassik, 827 State Route 82, Suite 10251, Hopewell Junction, NY  12533.

Please remove any line fittings and hang onto those. There is an extra charge if we remove them here.  Drain the part of all fuel. Place the core in a sealed bag or container, and carefully pack the item so that it cannot move around in the box. Improperly packed components are often damaged in transit, and leaking or odorous boxes can be quarantined by shippers.

Distributor Rebuild Kit, 184 Series without Cap / Rotor Distributor Rebuild Kit, 184 Series Distributors
For the Bosch 0.231.184.XXX distributor series used in 1974-77 Porsche 911 models. This kit includes bushings, shims, oil seal, shaft pin, advance springs, points, felt dot, and more.

Due to the rapidly rising cost of OEM caps and rotors, we offer this kit in the event that you already have a cap and rotor, or if you prefer to source them yourself.  We have a kit with the cap and rotor included if desired.

New cap hold-down clips are available for this distributor; please see part number 901.602.965.00.  We also have replacement clockwise drive gears for the 1965-77 distributors.

This kit is designed to be installed by a professional mechanic who also has access to a distributor machine to set the mechanical advance curve. The bushings supplied with this kit will need to be reamed to suit the distributor shaft.  It is possible to cause severe damage to the ignition distributor and the engine itself if this kit is incorrectly installed.

Distributor rebuild instructions and/or diagrams are not included. If you feel you need instructions or lack the necessary tools, please send your distributor in to us for a restoration service.

We don't offer partial kits, but we do have many individual parts for Bosch and Marelli distributors used on Porsche models.
