OUR SHIPPING POLICIES:
We use trackable shipping services only. For shipments within the US, we offer USPS Priority Mail, and UPS/FedEx Ground, Home Delivery, 2nd Day, and Overnight. Some shipping services may be unavailable to specific addresses. We are sometimes asked why we can't "just stick it in an envelope and put a stamp on it." We stopped doing that after too many parts went missing and were mangled en route.
We ship internationally, and we offer several international options from UPS/FedEx and the postal service. All import duties and taxes are the responsibility of the recipient. The recipient may need to contact his or her local UPS/FedEx or postal facility to arrange payment of taxes or duties. For international orders using the post office as delivery method, we must consider a package delivered once it leaves the USA. The US Post Office cannot track an item in a different country.
Our website calculates shipping and handling for each order based on dimensional size, weight, delivery address, and current rates from UPS, FedEx, and USPS. On rare occasions these calculations may be inadequate, and we may issue a partial shipping refund or contact you about additional cost. "Free Shipping" items apply to most addresses in the 48 contiguous US states only. Free shipping is not available for international orders or to Hawaii, Alaska, US territories, or other locations outside the 48 contiguous US states. Availability of free shipping for any item is subject to change without notice.
If a package is lost or stolen, we will assist you by filing claims with the carrier if the situation warrants it. Please bear in mind that the claims process takes weeks or longer, and in our experience, packages do tend to turn up eventually unless they were stolen from your property or mailbox. We do not replace lost or stolen packages unless the carrier pays the claim. Package theft is very common, and it has become more prevalent with the dramatic rise in online shopping. Please take the appropriate precautions to prevent and deter package theft from your property or mail box.
Selection of 2nd day or Overnight shipping does not imply that your products will ship the day your order is placed. We do our best to ship same day for orders placed before 1pm New York time. However, due to workload, parts availability, the need for assembly/preparation of a part, the time of day an order is received, and other factors, we cannot and do not guarantee shipment dates or delivery dates. If you absolutely need an item delivered by a specific date, please contact us by phone or email to discuss it.
Some items, such as aerosol sprays and certain fluids, can only be shipped by Ground or Home Delivery. We make every effort to note this in the product descriptions. If an incompatible shipping method is chosen for a product, we may cancel the order if insufficient shipping has been paid, or we may refund any excess shipping paid and then proceed to send the product via Ground or Home Delivery.
