Send your core in first. We'll send you back a rebuilt Bosch unit.
Must be an original Bosch CDI.  We can't accept aftermarket units.
For Porsche model 911 from ‘69-‘77 and 914/6 from ‘71-‘76

We must receive your core first; we don't use core charges. Once we've received and inspected your Bosch core, we'll send you back an original Bosch CDI box that's been internally updated with our modern digital electronics package. The unit you receive back will also be externally media blasted with a new Vorsicht decal applied in the correct location.

Porsche models with CDI systems are now up to 50+ years old. As these cars have aged, we've seen many vehicle conditions that negatively impact CDI box operation. Ignition parts sold today often don't meet factory spec, even those that are sold as OEM. Wiring connections and grounds are often poor, incorrect, or missing. Resistance values on rotors and ignition wire connectors are frequently wrong. Maintenence and diagnostic knowledge has been lost. That's why so many original CDI boxes and coils are failing today.  We've rolled this knowedge into our exclusive digital CDI technology, with the goal of helping to keep these cars on the road.

Each CDI box we rebuild is fully tested on our proprietary testing equipment before it leaves our facility. There are however a number of installation factors, vehicle conditions, and practices that can make a CDI box appear non-functional, or that can actually damage the unit during or after installation. For this reason, we recommend that any CDI box be installed by a qualified Porsche mechanic who is truly competent with Porsche CDI ignition systems.

We stand behind our CDI boxes with a 2-year warranty on defects in materials and assembly.  When purchasing any CDI box from us, you are responsible for reviewing the warranty statement and following its conditions, including practices to be avoided and issue resolution.

5 stars Next day turn around on my intermittent CDI. I "thought" I was having carb problems until I put this unit on. Wow, my 914/6 has never run so well. Great people to deal with. Remember, the new unit doesn't whine like the old CDI, so when you install it, and switch on the key, all you hear is the fuel pump.

All returns require pre-approval. All returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee, with the exception of approved warranty returns, or if we ship a different part number than ordered. We do not accept returns after 30 days.

Inspect your order immediately when it arrives. We must be notified within 5 days if there are any missing, damaged, or incorrect parts.

Returns (except warranty) won't be accepted if the part:
 - Has been installed, used, damaged, is dirty or incomplete
 - Is not sellable as new
 - Arrived in sealed packaging that has been opened
 - Is an electrical part, a custom or cut-to-length item, or a Special Order
 - Was purchased more than 30 days earlier

Parts must be returned properly padded in a sturdy cardboard box. Returns sent in envelopes will be refused. Items damaged in transit to us cannot be refunded. All returns must be shipped prepaid.
