On the 1972-73 Porsche 911E 2.4L cars, Porsche used 3 different distributors.  They are the Bosch models 0231.169.004, 0231.169.009, and 0231.184.002. All are functionally interchangeable. 

When you send us your distributor, it will be completely disassembled, media blasted, and polished. All new bushings, sliding surface, and shim kit are installed along with a new spring package. This restoration also includes a new cap, 6500 rpm limiting rotor, points, condenser, and shaft seal. Your distributor is then tested on our Sun distributor tester, so the unit arrives ready to install and set timing. Test results / curves are included with the distributor. We also include a free download of our TSB for Porsche CDI ignition systems.

If you would also like new hold down clips for the cap, we have them available - part number 901.602.965.00.  We also carry the clockwise drive gear if you would like us to replace yours.

Please note: the vacuum can is not included in the restoration. Not all distributor cores are rebuildable. Damaged distributor cores may require machining and/or parts that are not included in the price of this service; if that is the case we will contact you.

This is a thorough restoration and we will need your distributor for, on average, 4-5 weeks to perform this work. Turnaround time varies with the condition of all components and shop workload.

All returns require pre-approval. All returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee, with the exception of approved warranty returns, or if we ship a different part number than ordered. We do not accept returns after 30 days.

Inspect your order immediately when it arrives. We must be notified within 5 days if there are any missing, damaged, or incorrect parts.

Returns (except warranty) won't be accepted if the part:
 - Has been installed, used, damaged, is dirty or incomplete
 - Is not sellable as new
 - Arrived in sealed packaging that has been opened
 - Is an electrical part, a custom or cut-to-length item, or a Special Order
 - Was purchased more than 30 days earlier

Parts must be returned properly padded in a sturdy cardboard box. Returns sent in envelopes will be refused. Items damaged in transit to us cannot be refunded. All returns must be shipped prepaid.
