CDI Box 3 Pin, New New Partsklassik 3 Pin CDI Box
For Porsche 911 models 1969-77, and 914/6 from 1971-76.
Includes free download of CDI System TSB.

With the Porsche models that use CDI systems now up to 50+ years old, there are many issues that negatively impact CDI box operation, including aftermarket parts that don’t conform to factory standards, discontinuation of original Bosch ignition parts, poor wiring and installation, and general wear and tear on the electrical system. These and other factors affect how well the system operates, and they contribute to ignition system failures. Moreover, the original Bosch units lose power as RPMs increase, and the circuitry is relatively unprotected from issues seen on these cars today.

Advantages of using the Partsklassik CDI over repairing or replacing with another unit:
“A” Terminal Disconnect protection
Protected Trigger Signal Input Filter
Input Voltage Correction
End User Settable RPM Limiter
Misfire Over Voltage Protection
True 450 Volt Primary CDI
High Efficient Design Resulting in Less Heat Generation
Low System Current Draw
Won’t lose power as RPMs increase
Plug compatible with all factory Porsche Models
No Phase Modification on Trigger/Firing Point
Two year warranty against defects in materials or assembly

Please note that while Partsklassik CDI boxes have built-in protections from external issues, these protections are not infinite. It is still important to maintain and service your electrical and ignition systems properly. This includes the often overlooked specs on secondary resistance values (i.e., on plug wire connectors, rotor, cap-to-coil wire).

Each CDI box we sell is fully tested on our proprietary testing equipment before it leaves our facility. There are however a number of installation factors, vehicle conditions, and practices that can make a CDI box appear non-functional, or that can actually damage the unit during or after installation. For this reason and for your own safety, we recommend that any CDI box be installed by a qualified Porsche mechanic who is truly competent with Porsche CDI ignition systems.

We stand behind our CDI boxes with a 2-year repair / replace warranty on defects in materials and assembly. You are responsible for avoiding practices and vehicle conditions that damage CDI boxes. Our TSB goes into detail on CDI do’s and don’ts, and the TSB is included with your purchase. To avoid voiding your warranty, read the TSB before installation.

Porsche cars that use CDI systems are now up to 50+ years old. Today we see many issues that negatively affect CDI systems, such as aftermarket parts that don’t conform to factory standards, Bosch‘s discontinuation of original parts, general wear and tear on the electrical system, and forgotten / abandoned factory specs, knowledge, and skills.

Each CDI box we sell is fully tested on our proprietary testing equipment before it leaves our facility.  No CDI box ships out unless it is fully functional.

We recommend that CDI boxes be installed by an insured, qualified Porsche mechanic who is truly competent with Porsche CDI ignition systems. These systems operate at very high energy levels that can result in severe injury or death. There are also a number of vehicle conditions and installation errors that can make a CDI box appear non-functional, or that can actually damage the unit.
